Steve Irwin’s cassette lockring loosened and jammed his rear hub costing him more than 5 minutes in the RTTC Men’s National 25 mile Time Trial Championship on Sunday August 2nd on the H25/21 course on the A404/A4 between High Wycombe and Reading. Steve was heading for a top 6 position and an age category (age 40-44) win when the problem occurred three miles from the finish, but ended up with 54-17. 07/06/15 Bashall Eaves Road Race (LVRC Stallard Series event 1)

It was relatively warm and sunny for the NLRC organised Bashall Eaves Road Races (event 1 of the LVRC national Stallard Series) on Sunday June 7th on the undulating Bashall Eaves circuit near Clitheroe. Dave Hargreaves was 9th overall and 2nd F category in the 44 mile EFGH (over age 60 categories) race. Steve Jolley of Onimpex-BioRacer RT was the overall winner with Mick Holmes winning the F category. John Wade finished 15th overall and 10th C category in the 55 mile CD (age 50-59) race won by Mark Hammersley

It was mild to warm with some sunshine for the 57 mile F category League of Veteran Racing Cyclists National Road Race Championship on Sunday May 10th on 5¼ laps of the flat/undulating Sheriff Hutton circuit north of York. Dave Hargreaves was 7th. Alan Kemp of Weaver Valley CC was the winner. Dave finished with the leading nine man group.
