Race Results 2020

Results of all 2020 races in which NLRC members have competed and all our Open and Club events in 2020.  NB! As you may remember, Covid-19 cut the season incredibly short

08/03/20 North Lancs RC ’30’ (NLTTA Spoco)

It was quite mild and kept fine with mainly wet roads for NLRC’s 30 mile Spoco on Sunday March 8th on the L309 A59 based Clitheroe-Broughton course, but there was a stiff blustery wind which was particularly troublesome on the return from the roundabout turn. Sue Cheetham was 3rd woman and Dave Hargreaves was 1st V60+. Alex Royle of Manchester BC was fastest with 1:08:15 and Christina Wiejak of Jadan Cycle Space – Vive le Velo was fastest woman with 1:23:09.

08/03/20 West Pennine ‘14.6’ (NLTTA Spoco)

It was relatively mild and fine but with still wet roads and a blustery cross wind for the West Pennine RC 14.6 mile Spoco Time Trial on Saturday March 7th on the L142 Knowle Green-Edisford course. Emma Houterman was 2nd fastest woman, John Wade was 1st V55 (age 55-59) and Dave Hargreaves was 1st V70+. Richard Bideau of Pendle Forest CC was fastest with 34:20 and Charlotte Boothman of Team Lusso was fastest women with 38:10. NLRC times…

Marshalling

All Club events, including our tens series, are dependent on the voluntary assistance of our members and they could not continue without such help. We ask each member to assist at a minimum of one ’10’ or an open event. If you wish to offer your services please ring Harry Haseley on 01254 885611 in good time so that he can complete his rota. He needs to know who is available in advance in order to ensure that each role is filled.
