Club Events

Club events run throughout the season, most are open events so any UK registered racing cyclists can take part. Details of events are below. Click to register or for further details on any event. If you’re not affiliated to any clubs but would like to take part then you’re more than welcome to join NLRC, please click here for more information.

CIRCUIT OF PENDLE

Circuit of Pendle Sunday 5 March, 8am off – sign on from 7am

NB! Sadly, our historic Circuit of Pendle course can no longer be ridden due to new traffic lights on a main roundabout mid-course. There are also major works on the A59 in early 2019 hence the major changing and shortening of the 2019 course.

EASTER 10

Easter 10 – Saturday 20 April, 7am off – sign on from 6am: L101 course £10 entry

The best way for a rider to start off their Easter Saturday. We’ve been joined by The Easter Bunny for the last few years, she’ll have Creme Eggs and Protein Bars for all finishers! 

CLUB HILL CLIMB

Club Hill Climb Wednesday 14 August, sign on from 6.30pm, Rishton £3 entry

Our annual Club Hill Climb up Close Brow in Rishton. This is where our Club Hill Climb Champion will be crowned. Any racing riders from other clubs are welcome to take part, this isn’t an open event, there are no prizes except kudos!  The best placed NLRC club riders, male and female on the evening will become our 2019 Club Hill Climb Champions.

 

PENDLE HILL CLIMB

Pendle Hill Climb Sunday 20 October, 9am sign on, off from 10am: L806 course £9 entry

Our infamous climb up the Witches Hill from Sabden to the Nick’O’Pendle, approximately 50 yards before the crest of the hill. the course is approximately 1350 yards long and has a maximum gradient of 1 in 6.

Marshalling

All Club events, including our tens series, are dependent on the voluntary assistance of our members and they could not continue without such help. We ask each member to assist at a minimum of one ’10’ or an open event. If you wish to offer your services please ring Harry Haseley on 01254 885611 in good time so that he can complete his rota. He needs to know who is available in advance in order to ensure that each role is filled.
