North Lancashire Road Club are based in the heart of the Ribble Valley. We welcome riders of all ages, men, ladies and juniors, to join us either to race or just to ride. Members can choose to take part in various weekly Club Rides which start in Whalley.
Racing is at the heart of our Club and we are very proud of our Club’s long history since formation in 1950. Club colours are Gold, Red and Blue we are just in the process of redesigning our kit with input from all our members If you’d like to find out more about us please browse through our site or why not meet us for a ride! We hope you’ll find answers to all your questions on here, if you don’t please just contact any of the committee. Do follow us on Twitter, we’re not as good at Facebook but getting there. See you soon!
Best wishes, all at NLRC.
We’re a social bunch too it’s not all about riding! Most rides take in a cafe stop along the way where we can refuel and chat about all things cycling and non cycling too. We have various social events including three or four Christmas lunches (see photo in header, fancy dress optional!) throughout the year too which you’re welcome to attend if you wish.
NB! When there are over 70 entrants in a race, the number 70 shown in our site header is generally allocated to the best rider in the race, the one most likely to win based on his or her recent palmares.
For those who wish to take part we run Evening Tens time trials from May to August around Bashall Eaves near Clitheroe. We also run various Club Open Events including Time Trials, Hill Climbs and Road Races which any UK club racing members can take part in. As well as racing against other racers at Club eventsour members compete against each other for the coveted Club awards given at our Annual Club Dinner. Click here to read September’s newsletterwhich includes further details on the Awards Dinner.
